On December 20, 1989, the United States invaded Panama as part of Operation Just Cause, which involved 25,000 American troops. General Manuel Noriega, head of the government of Panama, had been giving military assistance to Contra groups in Nicaragua at the request of the U.S. which, in exchange, allowed him to continue his drug trafficking activities, which they had known about since the 1960s.
When the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) tried to indict Noriega in 1971, the CIA prevented them from doing so. The CIA, which was then directed by future president George H. W. Bush, provided Noriega with hundreds of thousands of dollars per year as payment for his work in Latin America. When CIA pilot Eugene Hasenfus was shot down over Nicaragua by the Sandinistas, documents aboard the plane revealed many of the CIA’s activities in Latin America, and the CIA’s connections with Noriega became a public relations "liability" for the U.S. government, which finally allowed the DEA to indict him for drug trafficking, after decades of allowing his drug operations to proceed unchecked.
Operation Just Cause, whose purpose was to capture Noriega, killed numerous Panamanian civilians; Noriega found temporary asylum in the Papal Nuncio, and surrendered to U.S. soldiers on January 3, 1990. He was sentenced by a court in Miami to 45 years in prison.

Operation Entebbe was a counter-terrorist hostage-rescue mission carried out by the Special Forces of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on 4 July 1976. A week earlier, on 27 June, an Air France plane with 248 passengers was hijacked by Palestinian and German terrorists and flown to Entebbe, near Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Shortly after landing, all non-Israeli passengers, except one French citizen, were released.
The IDF acted on intelligence provided by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. In the wake of the hijacking by members of the militant organizations Revolutionary Cells and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, along with the hijackers’ threats to kill the hostages if their prisoner release demands were not met, the rescue operation was planned. These plans included preparation for armed resistance from Ugandan military troops.
The operation took place at night, as Israeli transport planes carried 100 commandos over 2,500 miles to Uganda for the rescue operation. The operation, which took a week of planning, lasted 90 minutes and 102 hostages were rescued. Five Israeli commandos were wounded and one, the commander, Lt. Col. Yonatan Netanyahu, was killed. All the hijackers, three hostages and 45 Ugandan soldiers were killed, and thirty Soviet-built MiG-17s and MiG-21s of Uganda’s air force were destroyed. A fourth hostage was killed by Ugandan army officers at a nearby hospital.
The rescue, named Operation Thunderbolt, is sometimes referred to retroactively as Operation Jonathan in memory of the unit’s leader, Yonatan Netanyahu. He was the older brother of Benjamin Netanyahu, who served as the Prime Minister of Israel from 1996 to 1999 as well as since 2009. The operation is widely considered one of the greatest and daring special forces operations in history considering the high risk nature of the commando raid, distance from home territory and casualty and hostage rescue ratio.

Operation Dazzlem:
October 1st, 1967- Feb 10th, 1968. Binh Dinh Province, South Vietnam. Camp Radcliffe.- Occupied by the US 1st Cavarly Division.
After Conducting Operation: Dazzlem, The disruption of VC/NVA supply and troop movement through the Binh Dinh Province, the 1st Cavalry Division sets up a defensive line starting at Camp Radcliffe in the Binh Dinh Province. After cutting gaps into the VC/NVA supply lines Allied forces are pushed back to a defensive perimeter which they will hold until reinforcements arrive to continue the Operation. The 1st Cavalry Division, relying solely on Helicopter aircraft are left mainly undermanned at Camp Radcliffe. With only a handful of wheeled and tracked Vehicles. Upon receiving intel that Camp Radcliffe is virtually undefended, VC and NVA forces make their way to the outskirts of Camp Radcliffe. After an intense mortar and artillery barrage an all out assualt takes place. Radcliffe is defended for two days until the defenders are overrun and retreat into the jungle. Camp Radcliffe will eventually be recaptured.
This Op represents those two days of hell at Camp Radcliffe.
